Things I am DYEING to Share
This last week has been an incredibly challenging, hugely rewarding week. When I first began using Organic Color Systems, there were no local “reps” to call on. No classes down the street to sign up for. It was just me and the educator in Florida handling my calls when I panicked in the back room,”You promise this will work?!?” I read everything I could get my hands on and jumped in with both feet. (For those of you who know me, you are nodding right now.) Fast forward six years, and we now have Rebecca Gregory, Head of Education for North America, and Jennifer Andrews, Creative Director. Amazing women and insanely good at what they do, I am so proud to call them my friends. Today they set up shop in my “shop” and prepared for the first Certification Class to be held in Arizona. It was a little surreal. Verde has quietly become a leader within OCS and Scott Mitchell, owner of the company in North America, has solidly backed us with continual support, for which we are so grateful. Twenty hairstylists from around the Valley, and some from as far as Alaska, came to be certified to use our color line. Verde is becoming a mentor to others who will see that an eco-friendly concept can be a successful (if not more successful) business model.
